This is a type of arthritis, which is not only long lasting but also extremely painful. It can occur in any part of the body, but more commonly witnessed in areas such as knees and wrists. This is a critical condition of the body where the immune system of the body attacks itself by mistake.
As a result of this the joints of the bones swell, and the patient complaints of severe pain. In advance cases, this kind of arthritis can affect other organs of the body like lungs, eyes and skin.
Gout is another form of arthritis and is caused by a chemical produced by the body known as uric acid. This chemical is supposed to get out of our body, but in some extra ordinary situation the body cannot get rid of it and it gets accumulated in various part of the body.
The uric acid in turn forms sharp pointed-end like structures in various joints resulting in extreme pain and swelling. The most common areas where gout is witnessed are knees, toes and various joints.
